Open House | 4 Australian Creators Show Us How They Style Vavoom at Home
Choosing and styling furniture and homewares online in your own home can often be a daunting task. Styled product images have often been laboured over by a crew of photographers, stylists, lighting assistants and retouchers (to name just a few), making it difficult for you to translate this picture perfect dreamscape into the reality of your everyday life. And that’s why at Vavoom we love working with digital creators from all around the country - to help bring their vision to life in homes that are real and lived in - no studio in sight! It’s as authentic as it gets, and we’re here for it. So let us introduce to you 4 Australian creators, and see how they style Vavoom inside their humble abodes.
Our first cab off the rank is Annie Loey, from Adelaide. As a tablescaping aficionado with a penchant for entertaining, crockery and colourful crafts, it’s no wonder her tabletop is adorned in Vavoom. Fluent in the language we both speak (read, eclectic goods and lots of colour) we couldn’t be more obsessed with her garden lemon scene. Doubling down on her theme, the result is one of maximum impact. Shop the Petal bowl and Candice board in Perilla, a set of the green wattle tumblers, the Foy Crochet placement set, and the Summer linen white lily 4 piece table napkin set to steal her look. Bonus points for fresh lemons and foliage from the garden too!
Our next creator, Carolyn, hails from the sunny city of Brisbane. Her home has light pouring in from every window - instantly making you want to let out a sigh and kick up your feet and relax. We love how she styles her home with all her favourite pieces on display. Flowers, candles and intricate vases? Don’t pick just one as your centrepiece, follow Carolyn’s lead and have them all! So as to not overwhelm the senses, there’s a careful balancing of colours and neutrals going on at her entryway. Did you spot our Party speckle caraf and glass, Bloomingville vase, Celia coasters and matching board?
Sydney Interior stylist and all-round colour lover, Sally, regularly waves her magic wand around the homes of others to get them looking tip-top. Buying furniture and homewares online all day every day seriously sounds like a dream job (when you’re as creative as Sally!). With bold prints and colours a key cornerstone to understanding her approach to design, it’s no doubt that you’ll find some of our much loved pieces inside her house! Sally’s recent Vavoom haul included this devine Hey Kid linen wall art by Castle and Things which totally pops when offset against her colourful wall mural. Also in her shopping cart were fun graphic towels by Castle and Things, perfect for a day at the beach. We love seeing creators push the boundaries on colour, graphics and style, and Sally is no exception. More is more and we coudln’t agree… more.
Our final feature, Allanah, is a Perth creator who turned her attention towards the bathroom, a room that is so often overlooked when it comes to styling. Starting with a very neutral blank canvas (not a splash of colour in sight anywhere), Allanah chose to keep a consistent theme with her soft furnishings, opting for bright pops of green and apricot. The addition of the green Checkerboard hand towel, Gumnuts jug with matching tumbler, graphic towels by Sage and Claire and wall art instantly gives a curated feel, while remaining a totally functional space.
Don’t just take our word for it when buying furniture and homeware online, rather, let the results of our 4 creators speak for themselves. Just as beautiful in situ as they are on a set, Vavoom’s interior offering is bound to make an impact in any space.
Still feeling a little stumped on how to style your home? That’s no sweat, we’ve got a team of interior stylists on board who do a little happy dance everytime they get to help out Vavoom customers with advice on how to style their homes.
